In her house she has an " Endless pool", in which se swims in an artificial current, it's like a tapis roulant for swimmers. When she swims in the Channel she must be careful at boats and jelly fish. TRADITIONAL BRITISH FOOD

Traditionally English people have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast is served in the morning; it used to be a large meal with bacon, cereal, eggs and sausages.
Lunch is a light meal. Most people no have lunch because they have no time to go back home for lunch. In the summer a lot of people like go out and eat their lunch in the open air.
The main meal is dinner, usually eaten between 6 and 7 pm. A typical evening meal is a meat dish with vegetables and a dessert. The most important meal of the week is the Sunday dinner, which is usually eaten at 1 pm.

CHINA

China is the third biggest country in the world because Russia and Canada are bigger than it. The longest river in China is the Yangtze River, 3600 kilometres long, but not the longest in the world. Nile and Amazon are longer than the Yangtze.
In China there is the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. The Chinese invented many important things like paper, umbrella and the compass. China has many rare and endangered species like panda or monkeys, but also tigers and elephants. The Great Wall of China is the tourist attraction; it is 6700 kilometres long!

STRANGE STORIES

These are a very strange stories.. Did you know them?

Countries discuss same-sex marriage, but not marriage to a bridge.
Last month, an Australian artist, Jodi Rose, fell in love with a 600-years-old bridge in France and married it. France does not agree with marriages between people and bridges. Fourteen guests went to the wedding to see the couple become bridge and wife. The mayor of the near by town blessed the marriage. Jodi wore a white wedding dress. She gave the bridge a very larger ring. She makes experimental music. She said it was love at first sight for her bridge. She blogged:" Although he is made of stone... I feel at peace... He makes me feel connected to the earth," especially after travelling. Ms Rose said she loves "the spiritual vibration in everything". She said her new partner is: "The perfect husband.. strong and silent".

Police in the Maldives arrested a coconut. They said it was full of black magic to change election results. The "suspicious fruit" had Arabic writing on it. It was a "sura" ( a verse from the Koran). People worried about it. They thought it might affects Saturday's national election. People think black magic can change how people vote or stop them voting. The police spoke to a "ruqyah" (a good magician), who said the coconut was fake and had no black magic. The police said it was a joke. People would understand the message and not do it again. A new website said black magic affects life on the Maldives. In July, a school didn't let a voting box into the building. Teachers worried it would make students ill. in 2012, a religious leaders said it was time to stop black magic, He said was a sin. He also said it caused problems form any families. THE YEOMAN WARDERS

A trip to London is never complete without a visit to the Tower of London. The Yeoman Warders, or 'Beefeaters', guard the Tower. King Henry VIII first introduced Beefeaters in 1485. They were his bodyguards. They looked after the prisoners in the Tower and guarded the Crown Jewels. These days they guide the tourists who visit the Tower. They also take care of the eight big black ravens which live in the Tower. There are 36 Yeoman Warders.  They all live in the Tower with their families. The Beefeaters are famous for their red and gold uniform, but they only wear this on formal occasion. Most of the time they wear a dark blue uniform with red trimmings.
No one is exactly sure where the name 'Beefeaters' come from. One theory is that the warders got meat instead of money as a salary! Others say that  the name come from to the French word Buffetier. Buffetiers view the guards in the palace of the French king. They protected the king's food.

BUSKING

If you want to hear free music in London, you should go underground, for it is in the subways that cross under London's streets and link them to the underground railway's station that many "buskers" or street musician prefer to play. Most buskers are young people looking for an alternative work. Some are dedicated musicians who see busking as a mean of playing their music without interference. Some are students, other are artists who play at the weekend. There are some standard to follow: the music as to be simple but well played, it is important because the audience consists of passer-by who have no time to stop and listen. Busking without a licence is illegal in Britain but the police tend to turn a blind eye to busking perhaps they, like many others, enjoy the music in the underground.

INTERNATIONAL WORKER'S DAY

International Workers' Day, also knows as Labour Day in some palces, is celebrated on the 1st of May and is the day of laborers. On this day no-one has work. The 1 May date is used because in 1884 the American Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions demanded an eight-hour workday, to come in effect as of 1 May 1886. This resulted in the general strike and the Haymarket Riot of 1886, but eventually also in the official sanction of the eight-hour workday.

James Bowen was a homeless drug addict of 34 years. After his parents' divorce, he went to UK to become a musician, but he had no success and became homeless. One evening, while he was going home, he met a sick cat. So he took the animal to a vet for treatment. Once the cat was better, he left the cat on the street, but he followed James, so they became friend and James call it Bob. They became a duo: while James played the guitar, the cat enchanted the people. The duo became a hit on Youtube and this story became also a book. ASK.FM

ASK.M is a social network. It was launched in Latria in 2010; in this app people can askquestions and you can answer with a post, a photo or a video. But you can also find very bad questions and answers. In 2012 and 2013 a few of teenagers suicided themselves for some questions they received. You can "like" a post, report it or remove it (only on your profile). You can make friends with people of different countries or discover new music, but you must be careful who you talk to.
